Default issue with HVAC "memory"?

So this is a new issue - wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

When I shut my car off, I usually notice what settings I left my HVAC on (and they are typically the same, at least during the summer). Lately, when I start my car back up later (sometimes minutes later, sometimes after it sits all day while I'm at work) the settings will be totally different. Like it will go from 60 with just the vent, fan on the first setting, pointed only at my feet to set to 75, fan on full blast, pointed at my feet and face. Or yesterday when I started it on after work, when the car came on the AC was on and it was set to 64, blowing at my feet and face. Yesterday morning it was cool out, so I drove with my roof open and definitely did not have the AC on when I shut off the car. And I never have the fan pointing at my face because I hate it blowing on me. And I never set the AC as low as 64.

I do not have a default driver setting set up, but this has never been an issue before. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the heat because it's been in the 90s and my car sits mostly in the sun while I'm working. It just seems like it "forgets" what it was set at when I shut off the car, and I'm worrying about an electrical short or this becoming a larger issue. Sure, it's under warranty. Who knows if my dealership would be able to recreate this though, because it doesn't happen every single day.
