I looked on eBay there a vendor out of Taiwan that sold power folding carbon fiber mirror . That what it's stated on the post but I didn't want to pull the plug on it yet.

The 3is is pretty disappointing when it comes to features. seem like even the 2nd is has tilt down mirror while reversing sigh. Even my friends civic has a better navi T.T But they are banking rolling from the 3is looks and name brand.

Yeah, I understand that. I think you could make the BSM work with a little custom work. Since I have it already I'm not going to give it up to get something else. I'll find a pair of power folding Kia mirrors and Frankenstein the motors in my factory mirrors.
If you are close to a dealership can you ask them for a parts listing?

I wonder if we could just order the motor/base and wiring harness and just retro mod our current mirrors that way we dont lose the BSM. Also would need wiring harness for the door and door button prices and possibly door trim pieces that would match.
I know this is a lot to ask but I am wondering if anyone has done this research on all of it. I would be willing to bet that most of it would just plug and play and am pretty sure I am willing to pay to play and write up. Just need some help with some more research.
Has anyone given this a shot? I know the Canadian version comes with power mirrors. We should be able to make this happen. Also it should only be the base not the actual mirror.
