Default opening back door without pressing the remote

So for some reason the driver side rear door doesn't open like the passenger side rear door.

I usually let my son in from the passenger side rear with the key in my pocket and putting my hand on the front passenger side handle. For some reason when I do that on the driver side it doesn't work, i have to open the front door and unlock it from inside.

Is this a setting I need to adjust somewhere?

There is a vehicle setting in the menu to address this.

The default is that only the driver door unlocks when you touch the driver door handle, but if you touch the front passenger door handle, all doors unlock. You can change it to unlock all doors from the driver's door.

You have to go into the setting menu and it should be in there. I can't remember actual where it is but its pretty easy. I think it also have option like for your interior lighting and other stuff too.

It's a Lexus preference setting which allows all doors to open on the driver side.

I usually take a bit of precaution about the driver side opening all doors; which could could happen to the unsuspected if not careful of your surroundings. Ie. theif hiding on the other side of the vehicle, and touched driver side to unlock all 4.
