I guess there aren't many who have owned both 3GS and 3IS?

You might try posting in the 3GS forum to see if anybody there also owns a 3IS (if you haven't already). ??

What comparison were you concerned with?

2009 3GS:
Pros - More room in the back for passengers, power folding mirrors, parking sensor system
Cons - Softer ride, seats are not as supportive

2014 3IS IS350 F-Sport
Pros: Better suspension, better seats, I enjoy driving it more than the GS
Cons: Smaller back seat for passengers

I don't regret making the change.

I reckon from GS to IS.

Are you driving your Lexus in Hawaii?
is it true that your climate is inducive to corrosion?
My Lexus dealer told me that rental car companies in Hawaii rotate their car to/from mainland to lessen the impact of corrosion.

Yes I'm driving it in Hawaii

Corrosion is a lot more prevalent here so I wash it often. I don't know if the rental car companies are rotating their cars but it seems it would be very cost ineffective. Shipping is very expensive but that's the price to live in paradise.

Thanks for that. I'm 5'7" and my wife 5'3" so I was thinking the 3IS might be a better buy since it's newer and has newer technology.

The car feels awesome for someone your height. The seats hug you and you feel like you're in a cockpit. Doesn't really feel like a luxury car.
