Understand that I have nothing to compare it to in previous gens, I have never driven one before. BMW that is.

Did you read the previous posts I made? I did just test drive one a couple days ago. What I am saying is that I just hadn't driven one before this which is why I am not able to compare the current gen to previous gens which a lot of people say BMW doesn't drive like they used to.
