I need to put a TXTag (tolltag) on my 2015 IS 350C, but I don't want it to interfere with anything on the car. I'm supposed to stick it to the windshield right under the mirror, but that puts it on top of a line that comes down from the top of the glass on the driver's side and turns to run horizontally for a few inches. It almost looks like the defroster wires laminated to the back glass, but it's just a single wire/line. Maybe an antenna of some sort? Does anyone know what it is?

Another thing I can't identify is a black sticker or tape on the back of the rearview mirror, on the driver's side. About as wide as a piece of electrical tape, and maybe 3 inches long. Is it anything, or just a sticker?

Maybe the FM radio antenna?

Edit: I looked up the 2015 IS350C owner's manual and it does state that the radio antenna is in the front windshield, so I do suspect that's the horizontal line. On the non "C" models it's in the rear window. You may want to post this in the 2nd gen IS forum. Even though your IS is a 2015, it's still a second gen, so maybe the second gen owners could answer this more definitively.

I have no idea what the tape is, but I would remove it. It's almost like someone tried to cover up the light sensor.

I don't know what the item is on the rear view mirror, but if you have a moonroof just put the toll transponder on the inside of it.

This IS is a "C" so it's the convertible version. No moonroof.

The dotted mask on the glass is to cut the glare that gets around
the mirror and visors, no moving parts/electricity. Go ahead at
fix your Pass to it. The single wire sound like an aftermarket
remote starter antenna.

I did remove the tape, and found it was an RFID tag. Google tells me that it's used at some Lexus dealers to identify you when you drive in for service.
