This is what is in the manual however dealer told me there is much more being done than those items, for example he mentioned checking all the senors (the car is apparently full of them) that an 'independent mechanic' can't reliably do. Failure to replace a faulty sensor that can cause other equipment failures down the line and void warranty. He regretted that the manual describes the work in such 'simplistic fashion'. Take it for whatever it's worth. Some consider such service as an additional insurance warranty.

This is complete and utter cr*p, and the reason that car dealerships got (and have kept) their "stealership" moniker.

Yes, the current generation IS has lots of sensors, and it also has lots of "ECU's", or microcomputers, which monitor those sensors to insure they - and the function that they sense - are operating properly. If one of the sensors has a problem you will get a Warning Notification light on the dash, and you can look in your owner's manual to see what you should do about it. See the attached.

There is no warranty requirement to "check all the sensors", and failing to pad the dealer's pockets by paying them to do so will have no effect on your vehicle warranty.

Did they give you a report for each sensor showing that it was functioning properly? If not, you might want to go back and ask for a copy. The look on the dealer's face alone will be worth the trip.

Can anyone provide a link on where they bought their lexus cabin and A/C filters from?
Also a link to DIY? I mean I know its not hard but ive never changed them before

Thanks in advance.
I just purchase my Cabin air filter aka A/C Filter from the Lexus dealer. $43. I also purchased the F-Sport engine filter, which is re-usable, from them for like $98.

For the cabin filter? Well sure, if i wanted a 3rd party one. If you are talking about a Toyota certified part that is cheaper, shoot me over the link, especially if it is free shipping.

Don't have the link now but bought the FSport air filter much cheaper than that in the past and have seen the Toyota cabin filter cheaper as well. I'm just giving you a heads up that you might want to check online first before going directly to Lexus parts department .

Yes, and this was the cheapest option in the service list. It goes up to $980.

Of course it was. You wouldn't expect a stealership to tell you about the 'minimum required' option, would you?

Is this for a RWD/AWD F-Sport or base? Do you have staggered wheels? If you have staggered wheels they can't be rotated. And the remainder of the service items should cost less than $100 at a Toyota dealer.

It's a AWD F sport. I don't know if they are staggered actually.
Edit: I checked. They are staggered.
