Got my windshield tinted!!! Crystalline 3M 70%

If your in a large city stuff like this usually isn't a problem. It's when you go into a two bit town. The police don't have much to do other than look for little things .

Agreed. Also the tint on your other windows make a big difference on getting hassled. On my FRS I've had 20% on all my windows with 70% Crystalline and got pulled over like 3 times in 4 months. I then got 35% with Crystalline on the windshield and have yet to get pulled over.

I went with my cousin to tint his IS in San Jose, we went to Phat Tint shop off of Monterey and Capitol expressway, $200 for Carbon tint. No air bubble whatsoever and it's been two years. Lifetime warranty. Takes about three hours because he gets really busy. 35% front, 20% rear
I got my IS tinted in Orange County, Westminster to be exact at Sound Tint, his prices were $140 for carbon, $180 for semi ceramic, not sure for pricing on ceramic. Lifetime warranty. He took about two hours and there were some small minor bubbles at the rear back window at the bottom but will not be noticeable at all unless you're staring at the car piece by piece. 35% all around.
Personally to me, tints look a lot better when they're the same color all around. I wish I went with 20% all around but living in Irvine (safest big city in the US), i don't want to get harassed by law enforcement. Go with 35% all around if you want that dark look but still visible from the outside. 20% if you want dark. Anything below 20% is pretty much limo IMO

Honestly imo when cops see a car like ours they really just ignore it cause they figured we must be someone doing something right and aren't a criminal hah my windows are all dark and cops pull up next to me and don't even look. I live in Cali so yeahh

Ceraluxe is considered one step below Crystalline, but it has similar TSER ratings.

I have my front windshield at 50%.
Front side - 35%
Rear side & rear window - 20%
Overall the car looks nice and dark. I haven't been stopped for windshield and all the cars I have owned, I have got the windshield tinted. Most cops probably don't realize or know what to look for to see if the windshield is tinted. If anything they'll just ticket you for the sides. I've had that happen to me plenty of times in my old car.
