Default Anyone have the Tire & Wheel Protection?

So when I leased the IS last month, I actually added the tire & wheel protection warranty. I didn't mind. I had it on my other Lexus and it saved me a few times after a flat.

Today I notice my front passenger rim has curb damage. I was shocked since I don't really remember hitting anything. I'm confused. I mean it could of been my wife that one day she drove the car. Anyways.. Does the tire & wheel warranty cover curb damage on rims? I've only used it for flat tires and whatnot. It sucks.

I believe that it does cover curb rash.

Yes, it does. I kind of regret not getting it now..

I got a rash on my front rim a couple weeks back. Was really upset about it. Since, I was being a fckboy eating and trying to park.

I kinda stop caring now tho. Given me an excuse to go aftermarket soon.

Not sure how much the tire and rim package is on a lease but to fix a curbed wheel is at most $100 where I live.

Lmao. Damn thanks for the quick replies.

I mean I honestly only got the package cause it saved me last year after a flat and Lexus replaced the whole tire. But I'll see if I can take it in now.

Saw all the rashed rims on this site and have already used the warranty 3 times. Wheels look like new! I hit a pothole in a rainstorm and popped some paint off my rim.

Yes it covers it, I recently purchased a pre-owned IS250 and picked up the tire package for extra $6. I told them i noticed curb rash on one of the front tires they said after 30 days I can file a claim and get it fixed. Pretty well worth it as i have bad history with rashing rims.

Awesome. I'm guessing there isn't a claim limit on this? I'll make an appointment next week. I think that's what happened.. I probably hit pothole or something because I don't remember hitting a curb.

I purchased the package also for i think $500.00. I feel like it will be worth it in the long run since it covers tires also and any curbs

The plan recently increased to $1200 amount about a week after I got it for $575 (purchased my car on 4/20/16). I believe the plan also covers door dings and hail damage up to $1000. Great deal if you ask me.

Does anyone know if you can purchase the protection plan after purchase?

you can try calling around to the different dealerships to check. usually they give you 1-2 weeks grace period after purchasing your car if you want to reconsider getting additional plans. beyond that time its pretty difficult,, with the exclusion of the extended warranty.
