I went on eBay to buy it and wanted for shipping . For sure price of it on eBay was much cheaper than what I got deducted for it. It really depends on the dealership honestly

Ha! Good moves!

If you want you can always turn it in here if you'd like.

Thanks so much, rld14!

Tomorrow is the final day of my lease and I'm very busy.

No chance Monday lease turn-in would be permissible, right?

Leased a Black / Black VW GLI SEL Manual; loving it so far!

Can't wait to move the vanity plates over.

Thanks so much, rld14.

You've been most courteous and generous throughout.

I returned the car to a dealer near me today.

Will update all upon receipt of the final statement; crossing my fingers.

Approx how long will it take for the dealer to decide if it keeps the car or not?

If ever in need of another Lexus, I will absolutely reach out to you, rld14!

Just wanted to update everyone that all I was charged was the $350 disposition fee (plus tax(!?), unfortunately).

Thanks again rld14!

Turned in my previous IS in June without the front plate or its bracket, but wasn't charged for anything.

heate to bring this thread back to life, but was an inspection through LFS necessary to return your car?

Surely; no worries.

I believe it was, but I wasn't privy to same.

I brought the car to the dealer, removed the plates and registration sticker, did a quick walk around with the preowned manager, turned over the keys and was given an odometer statement.

That said, I called the manager a couple weeks later who told me he wouldn't be keeping the car for his own inventory, and I've since seen the car turn up on the website of an out of state used car dealer that likely bought it at auction.

Would've been cool to see it around town, but guess not.

About to turn your car in? What sort of damage are we talking about? Feel free to post some photos.

Also note that one of my wheel was visibly bent, albeit minimally.

I already have a new purchase so I am just looking to turn it in since the miles are up... I paid the whole lease up front so I was just wondering if I need to go through the whole inspection process and have someone come out and look at it before I bring it in. I have a couple small door dings, a 2 inch scratch, and tiny knick on 1 wheel. Other than that, still looks new.

Oh; you're asking about the 'complimentary' pre-return inspection. Forget about it! Don't do it. I didn't.

It effectively gives LFS two opportunities to identify damage!

No doubt they scrutinize the vehicle and you're left with no choice but to repair.

Good luck!

Default 2017 Lexus gx460 bumper crack charge?

Hi Bill! I just got an autovin inspection and I have a crack on the top of my bumper. He said I'd probably have to replace it, but the report came back as $80? And $50 for a tiny door ding. Is this right? Does Lexus go by this report? I'm not sure if I should fix it or not. I don't want to return it and then they send me an invoice a couple weeks later with a $1000 bill.

Thanks!!

I'm going to schedule my Autovin inspection shortly here, as I have some pretty similar imperfections as the OP. Will post here after it's done.
