The rear end gearing in the 3IS is less aggressive than the 2IS to help it get better mileage. Other than that the 3IS is superior to the 2IS in every way: steering, handling, ride quality, interior, seating, ergonomics. Handling is way better even with a smoother ride. Use our 2IS to run errands now and the differences are very apparent when using both cars.

You can't directly compare a top-of-the-line 3IS350 F-Sport with your first model year 2006 2IS350 (with a poor suspension tuning and steering calibration) and base that conclusion as the end-all be-all between the 2IS and 3IS. It needs to be an apple-to-apple comparison (using the 2011+ 2IS350 F-Sport model which received improvements in its steering feedback, suspension tuning, and alignment).

The 3rd Gen does handle better than the base model 2IS but the 2IS F-Sport models can hold their own against the newer 3IS F-Sport.

Motor Trend provided this interesting handling comparison between the 2011 2IS F-Sport vs the 2014 3IS F-Sport:

The new one trailed the older car by a hefty 0.9 second on a flying figure-eight lap, implying it's losing precious time in the corners. The root cause is up for debate. Maybe the 2014's 2.7-inch-longer wheelbase or 0.6-inch-wider rear track played a part.

Te gusta Juan Gelman, eh? Hay traducciones ricas por Lisa Bradford.
i would if i still had the invoice. perhaps they are leather-trimmed seats and not full leather seats as i don't believe the backs of the seats are leather.

me encanta gelman -- ¡gracias por la sugerencia!
