I'm trying to remove the rear bumper, I'm wondering to what lining are you referring? I got lost at that part! I would appreciate your feedback.
Hey Guys Long Time Since I posted,
Anyway over the weekend I took on the adventure of Installing these
IJDMTOY.COM Led Reflectors http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Lexus-IS250...s-p/75-419.htm
Well First I Felt That The Red Plastic Was To Bright And Needed To Be smoked.
So I Had them painted at my body shop.
Then I Ordered These Really Cool things From amazon called Posi Taps
No Soldering No Crimping No Cutting , Check out Videos on youtube you will see what i mean.
Then The Install Began
After I finally Found out how to Remove the rear bumper,
You Have to push the lining in and look up with a flashlight you will see like a plastic
tunnel big enough for a socket , i believe it was #10 or #12 loosen than up on both sides,
and your half way off.
the more obvious screws were located, when the trunk is open, on the L and R edge where the trunk meets the bumper underneath a painted to match pop off cover.
and then Boom she pulls off
next you will need to take out the tail lights, so right above the bumper screws near the trunk
you will find two more black plastic pop off covers, remove those to access the two screws using again #10 or #12 socket and then just pull the light , it feels like your going to break it but then boom she comes out.
you do your wiring connections
For the reflector: black is ground, green w/ white tracing is the parking light, red is brake light, white is turn signal. Tail lamp harness: black is ground, red is parking light, green is brake, green with yellow tracing is the turn signal.
Its Wired as follows:
Black to black, green to red, red to green with white tracing, white to green with yellow tracing.
Then ya slap everything back together and boom
here is a video

Lead Lap
can't believe there is something that looks better, actually lasts longer and doesn't burn out an LED which even one single LED burn out makes the whole thing look horrible
only way i am aware of is going custom

Thanks for the info.... I did this on my Camry and have had these for a while. Just been lazy. I have the NIA diffuser installed. Do you think this will affect that at all? As far as taking the bumper off to install these?
And WTF ... lol the curb rash on those wheels!!!!!!!!! :-(
