I thought about retrofit the fog light before I chose ijdm fog lights. I even bought 2.5" lens from theretrofitsource, jdm fogllight cover from nigel-jdm and 6k lmz led series from vleds. However, there were a lot of works and I did not have enough space for the led heat sinks and that's when I give up.
Yeah I might just end up leaving them like that until I can afford to buy the JDM ones. I just don't like how the yellow shows on the iJDM toy ones
At first I didn't. I just plugged them in directly so that they would turn on and off when the headlights would come one. But then I added the stalk switch and did a direct plug and play installation. Check out my other tread where I give more details about it.
Nice! I was planning to get the same fogs but I don't know if I want fogs on the car yet. Maybe just wait until later till the OEM fogs price drop haha.
i was bummed when i saw this i was like dam i should have waited but i saw the light output and its the same so i was ehh the only thing this has over the ijdmtoy is they dont show a yellow led behind the projector
I really want to make some custom fog lights. My goal is to insert some Corolla OE LED projectors I have sitting around... that or my Toyota LED (FULL SIZE) fogs I have sitting around too. I have some options
My biggest challenge is going to be the exterior cover plate. I wonder if someone can make a custom one? 3d printing perhaps? I may have to buy this cheapy crappy aftermarket fog just for the cover plate alone and modify that (The hole is too small)
WHY ON EARTH didn't Lexus just use the standard large lexus/toyota foglights they use on EVERY OTHER Toyota/Lexus for the past DECADE? Why did they use a one off propreitary hole/mounting system.
