Hi,
I am thinking of driving ~400 miles each way (800 total) with my car straight with maybe one or 2 stops along the way.

I heard it is a lot of wear and tear.. is that true? would you guys recommend it?

No harm in a road trip. Highway miles are easy.

Your car is designed to be driven, so go drive it.

if your tires are fine now and you dont care how many miles there are on your car, then go for it!!

Drive the hell out of it. It will go across the country and back with no issues.

why not? just check your car before your trip, brake pads, oil level, tire tread life, etc.

I saw a White Florida Plate of a 2 IS250 in Fern Valley, CA last week when I was there. That's a 3K+ miles trip 1 way. On top of that, the road to Fern Valley is mean for 4x4 off road. 800 miles trip is nothing.
