Default front Fsport struts leaking

My 14 IS350F's front struts are leaking. I only have 11k miles on it. Anyone else have this issue? Taking it in tomorrow, but wondering why is it failing so soon.

My '14 has 32,500 miles and rides like it has 0 miles on it. I haven't specifically checked for leakage though.

If you don't mind me asking, what made you look to see if they were leaking to start with? Did it begin to ride harsh? Just curious of the symptoms.

Every so often I'll take a peek underneath to make sure everything looks good, no leaks, etc. I want to catch something early while still under warranty.

Do you have any mods on your car?

Early 4GS owners had issues with their AVS shocks. I haven't seen many complaints lately, bad luck?

Completely stock. Lexus is replacing my struts. Unknown why they are leaking.

forgive me if i sound stupid asking this but.. how would i be able to tell if my shocks are leaking? would the oil be leaking from the shocks on the ground or would i have to go under the car to do so? in two years of ownership I've hit some pretty bad potholes here in NYC so i hope nothings wrong.

yup when shocks are leaking oil, the piston rod should be coated in oil because the seal inside holding the oil in is blown. When it's leaking A LOT, then oil will be splattered everywhere around the shock (your suspension components and inner barrels of the wheels) and can even form puddles of oil on the ground.

You'll have to jack up the car and look at the struts. You notice it looks wet and usually covered with dirt. If it leaks on the floor then you have a completely blown strut.
