Possible new purchase.
Long story short my wrx needs work but Im not interested in anymore repairs so im in the market for a new car. Originally I was shopping for a Tesla CPO but then decided I will hold off on going EV for a little longer.
I have been looking at the IS 350 FSport AWD model. Im hoping to stop into Lexus of Manhattan since I work nearby so that I could see the car and test drive. Ultimately does anyone have advice on final negotiations if I find one thats in stock? Anything I should know or ask for. Not sure if their site is up to date but I did see 3 or 4 models that fit what im looking for. Not sure if it matters but Ill be financing once I do some rate shopping.

Are you planning to buy used or new? 2015 or 2016? I managed to get 6.5k in savings for a 2016 is350 fsport, msrp $49,433. OTD was $47.5k.
I would recommend shopping between dealers to find the best price. And if your planning to trade in your wrx, mention that at the end, or they will low ball your trade in.

A friend of mine wanted the wrx so I gave it to him cheap. It was pretty beat and he wanted to fix it up.

Best thing I can say is be patient, let them come to you. Also, try to create competition between dealers.

Put down my deposit a few days ago. Should be picking her up hopefully this weekend. The associate actually took me to the back and showed me the actual car. The car I test drove was White with a black int.
Gray pearl with a black interior. I wasn't initially fond of the color but after actually seeing it in person its awesome.
Got it without the nav to save a little cash for mods. Final price was 45k (thats with all the taxes, fees and reg)
IS300 F-Sport Package, Lighted door sills, all weather mats and acc. package 2

It was funny watching all the internet guys sending me emails saying they would beat each others price. I visited 2 out of the 5 dealers only because I was short on time and did most of the haggling over the net before bringing the numbers to the dealer who made the best offer.

The best advice I have is to be ready to stand up and leave if they don't meet your stated OTD price. Go in acting like you're about to leave, if they refuse your OTD price, then kingly shake their hand, thank them for their time, and say I'm sorry we couldn't come to an agreement here. Give them your number in case they change their mind, tell them you're going to infinity or Audi next (not bmw or Mercedes though). I'd bet they stop haggling you right then, shake your hand, and say ok, we have a deal, and sell you the car for the OTD price you're asking for. The last thing dealerships want is to lose business to another dealership. And remember, dealerships sell on volume first, and haggle on price second. They have lots more room to negotiate than they lead onto believe. This was the way my purchase went. I got a 2015 IS 350 F sport w/o nav for exactly $44,000 OTD. Think i could've done a bit better too. Good luck. Edit: My MSRP was $46,104.00

That could be my thread.
I am done with BMWs - my wife's 528i has been a money pit, time to get something new and reliable - decided that Lexus could be the thing.
We are looking at IS350, non-sport, RWD. But the vehicle like what we want doesn't exist anywhere around - we most likely will be ordering one and waiting months. If I have to pay that much money I may as well get it custom ordered.

Got my appointment to go pick the car up today at 5. I ended up just popping in to lexus of manhattan yesterday just to see what they would say since they never replied to my email.
They couldnt beat the price and even if they could they claimed they had no cars w/o navigation. I walked.
Oh well.
