NEWBIE. 2016 IS350- F. HID Headlight question
Hello all...
I'm new to the Lexus family as I just upgraded my 2011 Mercedes E-350 Sport for this beauty over the weekend. I've been eye-balling the new F Sport since their launch and glad to be apart of Club Lexus! Since Saturday, I've already treated her to a new tint job and a muffler delete.
Question though...how in the world do I access the HID headlights? I'm looking to install 8k's and can't seem to find anything online from 2014 above. Any suggestions or write ups floating around? Thanks in advance.
Here's some photos:

Thanks for the feedback but are you sure about this...?
I've read many articles online stating HID's are offered on some IS's as well as my dealer "standard equip" sheet reads: " High Intensity Discharge Headlamps (HID)- low & high beams, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL's)". Even my manual states I have D4S HID bulbs.

Those are definitely the LED headlights. LED headlights are standard in the F Sport package in the US.
Edit to further clarify:
On the base model, HIDs are standard and LEDs are optional. The F Sport includes LED headlights, as can be seen here:

Welcome to CL, by the way. That's a great looking IS you have there.

Thanks JDR. I've definitely come across this page as well so I decided to simply call the dealership. After they ran my VIN # moments ago, they confirmed that my car does in fact have LED headlamps but my spec sheet wasn't updated. S***t! Why HID on base models but a step down to LED's in the F???
I've already paid/received my 8k D4S HID bulbs and wondering if any of you have swapped out your LED headlights? If so, is it worth going to another LED bulb and what's the bulb number? I really like the look of 6-8k oppose to the standard 4300k.

I have been actually looking the other way around and swapping out from HID's to LED's. From what I have found out, the headlamp and the control module needs to be swapped and everything else is good.

But unfortunately here in Canada, they didn't have the LED headlamp option until now...

Easiest way to tell is if you have one projector, like below, you have HIDs.
If you have two projectors, you have LEDs.

I agree with this. Longer life, and I like the nice, crisp light that these bulbs produce. Coming from HID lamps in my infiniti, I find that these are a significant improvement. I also prefer the 'instant on' quality of the LED lamps. No waiting for the lights to 'warm up'

Congrats on the new whip! and enjoy the LED's. They're superior to HIDs in almost every way. Whiter color output, cooler running, last longer, won't lose light output over time, instant on, better reflection off road signs. Just to name a few.
