As winter comes in full force to NYC I've been experiencing some rough idle on my is350 AWD even after warming up my car for about 3-5 min. For ex. when I am at a stop light and have my foot depressed on the brake it feels as if the engine is revving higher than usual as if the acceleration pedal is lightly being depressed while im braking. Does anybody else experience this issue or is it just due to the cold weather?

It's normal. I too live in New York and have noticed my car pushing me foward when at a light. It does this until it warms up. This happens to everyone I know that has a Lexus. I think it does this if it's colder than 38 degrees.

It seems normal as mine does that, too.

it's happening to me as well. it goes away after 10 minutes or so of driving

Yeah me too. I think it's normal for this car to idle strangely in drive until it's warm.

I have noticed this too. In the morning it will idle around 1k in normal mode. Has anyone noticed that when you put it into eco it will drop down to ~500 during the "warm up" time. Just an observation.

I have experienced the same thing (in MA) since the weather turned cold. The idle definitely stays higher for a good 9-10 minutes when cold starting. It was very disconcerting when it started to happen so I had the dealer check that the idle was alright. They checked things out and came back with "it's normal."

Same here in Toronto. Once it's warmed up it will be fine.

Our cars have a nice amount of power and the A gripping torque converter so the car will feel like it's pushing foward when it's warming up.

lol yeah. i live in nye too this just started happing to me i guess its because its been really cold out here the last past few days, but after the car warms up its gone. it takes about 10 minutes tho -_-

The weird thing about our cars is the idle only raises after we stop the car. If you move up a few feet it goes back down then goes up A few seconds later. Most other cars just have high idle until warm.

Mine does the same thing. Once it warms up, it goes away.
