Brake Malfunction?
Is it possible for the IS200t brakes to malfunction? My car is only 1600 miles and the brake doesn't feel responsive/snappy. It feels like the car is very heavy to brake anywhere from 10 - 40 mph. I have to step on the brake pedal deep to feel the brakes. I don't feel that pump (I think it's called hydralics) feel when I step on the brakes. Even at 20mphs, the braking doesn't feel sensitive. Is it possible for some brake parts to break. I think one time when I was going down hill, I stepped on it really hard to stop at the bottom at the stop light and it made some weird clamping noise.

I would bring it back to Lexus Dealership and have them check it out since it is new vehicle,
better safe than sorry for such a important part of vehicle safety
you have warranty anyways on it.

Hmmm the dealer couldn't find anything. They said it's normal. There's a 1/2 inch gap to prevent the driver to accidentally step on the brake when resting the foot on it. The dealer also mention, there's some brake responsive difference if you changed from ECO, Normal, or Sport mode (Electronic Distribution Force Braking).
