Personally, I would never touch an IS250, though. In my view, you're spending that much on a luxury car and it's slower than many Hondas and Toyotas on the road. Like seriously, I owned a Honda Accord V6 prior to my IS350, and that would be quite a deal faster than an IS250. When you're spending 30-50k on a luxury car form a luxury brand, I think many of us on the forum expect to get something that can get up and go when you expect it to. That's just something the IS250 lacks. Not hating on the car, it works for many, but personally I expect some pep out of a 30-50k car and the IS250 has absolutely none. I've driven one before, and probably never will again.
The 350 has AVS and handles better if you have the F-sport. That was a big purchasing decision for me.

2012-2015 GS 350

Those are the 3 cars I'm interested in. I'm buying them as CPO with around 30-40k miles on them and they seem to fit in my price range ~30k. I'm just in love with each one of them. I was looking for an SUV but after seeing how refined the GS and IS are now, I'm not sure if picking the RX is the best choice. Is there a drastic difference between the AWD of the RX vs the GS/IS? Any issues with any of these models?
I would consider 2016 GS and RX. They look as awesome as IS for 2016 model.
The RX interior and GS exterior has been improved a lot.
For IS, I suggest you to consider 350 instead of 250 if you can afford the RX and GS already.

It really comes down to your personal preference.
All 3 of them are perfect for family.
If you always carry a lot of stuff, RX is the answer.
If handling and aftermarket accessory is important to you, IS would be the one.
If you think IS is too small and want more luxury feather, GS will probably be the best one.

I have IS250 but trade it in after one year. I prefer IS350 or ES350 it's more fun to drive.

As the owner of a 2011 RX350, a 2014 IS350, and a 2015 RX350, I will weigh in here.

The first question you need to ask yourself is Am I an SUV person? I have never been an SUV guy, having always driven sporty cars (Ford Mustang in college, Mazda MX-6 GT, Audi A4 3.2, Audi A6 2.7 with Sport package, Infiniti G35S to name a few).

Don't get me wrong, the RXes are incredibly comfortable and competent vehicles. I have driven the 2011 solo from South Florida to Boston and it was/is smooth, comfortable and a great vehicle for cruising on the highway. I have driven the 2015 RX from Boston to Syracuse through a blinding snow storm without so much as a slip or blip. I love driving the RXes on a limited basis but when I had to drive them on daily basis, I was bored! Too high a center of gravity and lack of power for my style of driving.

The third car in our stable is the 2014 IS350 (bought last September with less than 9,000 miles on it). It is everything that I love about Lexus - luxurious, comfortable for four adults, serene around town but powerful with great handling when I want it. It's hard to drive under 85 on an open highway. I realize that the IS250 may not have the power of the IS350 (which is why I opted for the 350), but most of the other qualities carry over.

Can't help you with the GS350 except to say that it's bigger than I would ideally choose (although I think they are beautiful).

Best of luck choosing. As you can see, I'm a huge Lexus fan so I'm not sure you can too far astray unless you buy the wrong car for you.
