Default Dashboard problems

Does anyone know anything about having the screen on the dashboards constantly dimming for no reason?

I think that the screen brightness level is based on an ambient light sensor. I believe there's a setting somewhere to change the brightness settings of the screen.

I know but the thing is... Say it'll be sunny outside, usually it'd be constantly lit up, right? My lights would occasionally dim down for no reason, even if it's the same setting outside, then it'll go back to normal. It didn't do this when I first purchase the car. Idk if I am describing it clearly enough for anyone to understand, lol. But I may just go to the dealership and see what's up cause I had a friend who had the same problem and the dealership just programmed it back to normal.

If you're not going under an overpass or another situation that would cause it, I'd visit the dealer. Maybe the sensor is bad.

Make sure the headlights switch is in the OFF position first. Had something similar happen to me and it was the auto headlights...

Yeah mine did it once.. It was an overcast kind of day and the light levels were varying enough just around the sensitivity point for having the lights in 'AUTO'...

I just turned it to 'OFF' and it was fine..The sensor is very sensitive...

BTW, I remember seeing a setting for the sensor sensitivity setting. You should be able to set how sensitive you want the auto lights to be.

Oh, can you give me an idea of where the setting is located? Thanks!
