That's a 25% gain on intake and performance chip.
I truthfully wish that's the case.
That gain can be done on FI vehicles but not NA.

nope, rather have a BMW 320 and get better gas mileage, or an acura tsx or honda accord.

keep living in fantasy land, not going to happen in toyota/lexus vehicles, and if it does, you probably could have just paid the same for your "performance chip" and got the 350 which has 100 more HP.

When you put a performance chip and an intake, you'll see somewhere between -5 and 5 hp gains, depending on how crappy they are. Most intakes usually yield negative gains due to sucking in hot air and retarding timing, while performance chips do absolutely nothing. Headers might give you a few horsepower, but still nothing close to what you're claiming. If you want actual gains like that, get nitrous or forced induction. Or do the smart thing and buy an IS350. Or do an LS-swap.

I drive my wife's 250 now & then.
I notice no one has said this, but the 250's engine is both smoother & quieter revving than the 350, with the 200t as the loudest & most coarse revving.

The 250's economy is a bit better, and we don't need 0-60 under six seconds; 8 seconds is fine for us.

Speaking of 250. I see a ton of 250 driving around SoCal. 350 is like 1 in 10 250 or something. But on the forums everyone swear 350 tho. All my friends drives 250 and I'm the only one with a 350.

Still, if there's a brutal winter storm, I'd rather have AWD and a 6 speed than RWD and an 8 speed transmission.

It is incredible. CR, blogs, and mags have loudly slammed the 250 and yet in 2 years of ownership all I ever see are 250's -- and a lot of them. What does that say about the power of CR, blogs, and mags vs. powerful seductive advertising? Lexus has been spot on with the advertising imo.

Can't agree. 250 offers the same or even better gas mileage than the 320 in the city, made a direct long term comparison with buddy's 320i xDrive.

About why 250 not 350 - Lexus doesn't offer 350 in Europe

Would love to see somebody doing IS350 with IS-F swap.

bought the car for my wife and a 350 would be wasted on her. hahaha she would never ever need that much hp. so i took the slightly higher mpg and put the money towards the packages.

she was also coming from a 99 camry 4 cylinder, so the IS250 felt like a sports car to her.

If i was buying the car for me, I would have gotten the 350 without thinking twice.

I bought a 2015 IS250 base model, and I'm happy with it.

-Save money, gas
-Sporty look
-Good performance

250 and 300h at the start in 2013, and only 250 remained in 2015. It was replaced with the 200t later and it's the only IS we can buy now.

oh, wow. we can only purchase the 300h now. that's probably the case for all EU nations because of stringent emissions laws. i know that's the case in our neighboring countries france and portugal.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. I had two separate 350 loaners while my 250 was in for service, and they both had a strange vibration and drone at idle and mid-low RPM. The engine also felt "coarser" than the 250's, but for most 100 HP is a great benefit. I came from buttery smooth BMW I6's, so I can be quite picky with how the engine delivers. I can't seem to stand the 4 cylinder turbos of late, every time I drive my friend's A5, CLA, GTI, or 328i, I can't stop noticing the engine.
