Yeah.. It is personal opinion. Q50 was one of the candidates at the time of purchase. But didn't like the outside and dual screen center console.

the dual screen was so laggy when i used it. It took about a minute to book up during my test drive and I wasn't too impressed with the interior in general.

Still not sure which one is worse though. the 14 IS nav system is pretty abysmal.

I also owned a G35 coupe for 10 years, but it was not expensive to maintain and was probably the most reliable car I owned. What problems did you have with yours?

After the G35, I purchased the Q50. It was a great car to drive, but the infotainment in the 2014 models were just hit or miss, and Infiniti ended up buying mine back since they could not fix the issue. It seems that they've fixed all of those bugs in the infotainment in 2015.

Comparing the IS 350 F sport and the Q50S I had, the Q50 definitely had more straight line power and handled pretty well for daily driver use, but the IS350 F-sport suspension/handling is more fine tuned.

It was reliable but ate tires like crazy. My PSS wore around 16-17k. Also went through brakes like crazy too. I had my window and door actuators go out multiple times...had it replaced by the dealer a couple times (extended warranty). The 3rd brake light went out 2x and so did my Blose Head Unit. The cable that controlled the trunk also broke needing a rewire. At 100k, the crankshaft sensor went out leaving me stranded. My service guy said it was very typical and after searching the forums, i found out it was. I needed a new catalytic converter and a new brake job (rotors/pads) and tires by 100k too. Decided to just turn the car in at that point and get an IS350

BTW, the Lexus quality far surpasses the G35. Not a single rattle in my car and i drive it hard. Hoping for an uneventful 100k miles until i trade it in.

My previous car was a G35xS sedan. Not nearly as comfortable and much louder than the 3IS. I looked at, and drove, the Q50 hybrid with 360hp. I had hoped it would address these issues and be more refined but it wasn't.

Love the IS350 but would love to see Lexus come out with a "performance hybrid" like Infiniti. Why do hybrids have to be boring?!
