Default First impressions of the 2016 IS 350 F sport

- The led lights seem plenty bright, maybe even a tiny bit real world brightER compared to my IS 250 HID's (I've seen some complaints about LEDS)

- The blue color is amazing..love it

- Love the get up and go compared to the 2007 250

- Dealer wanted 895 for wheel and tire package (3 year, 30,000 miles), told them 595 or I was not doing it, 30 seconds later they said no problem.

- Love that they took what used to have to be done only on the touch nav screen and split it... some manual controls, some digital controls that can do the same thing, awesome!

- Handling is impressive

- The dynamic cruise control took a little getting used to, kind of unsettling when I drive more carefully than the car drives itself! (yes I have it on the max distance setting and I still would hit the brakes before it does)

- LOVE the seats!!

Some questions:

- I came up fast behind a car on the highway and there was no PCS beep and the car did not hit the brakes at all. Is there something that needs to be done to enable it? When does the beep actually happen and the screen light up "brake"

- No parking sensors on an FSport?? I guess I incorrectly assumed that since the thing has sensors all over the place and they can control the car...that it would come with some kind of parking assist, am I wrong here?

-Enform is spamming me to hell, what do you guys have your settings on this? I do actually want to know what is being done to my car if I'm not around, but an email and app notification every time is a little much.

Some "why lexus why?":

- No rain sensing wipers?
- No Cig lighter (or usb power) outside of the arm rest?
- No light in the glove box?!?
- Non LED lights on the inside from the factory... yikes!

Anyway, overall I'm totally in love with the car - would just like some advice from you guys... thank you!

Actually there should be a LED light inside the glove box but it is a bit weak. It is on the left hand side inside the glove box. Probably it is blocked by the stuff in the glove box.

Here's some pics.

Got her with 15miles on the clock, I can't believe it but a little over 24 hours later I've racked up more than 100, wtf??

Put some blue leds in today, not sure if this is overdoing the blue or not. Will swap some white ones in when they get here.

2 days in and already found a TINY tiny dent!! It's very hard to see.. the only thing this car has been parked is my garage and my parents driveway where nobody came and left.. I did take pictures of the car all the way around right after I drove it on the lot and can't see it in the pictures..

A good PDR tech can fix most nominal dents in an hour or less for $75 or so.... should not be a problem.

yeah, I emailed my salesman and he said bring it down in the morning and they'd fix it no charge. This kind of thing reminds me of why I went with Lexus!

For the PCS to activate, it has to be closer to an emergency situation. I actually had it happen to me today when the guy in front of me stomped on his brake to turn into a gas station quickly.

I believe the 2016 F-Sports in Canada have the rain sensing wipers. Not sure about what the US gets. I wish that Lexus made an executive F-Sport package with all the luxury goodies; I would've totally bought that.

I love that color. My lease is up next Nov and I'm going from the white/red to the blue/black combo for sure.

Are you using any particular LED kit for the interior?
