Do I need to have the engine on to set stuff?
Yay! I got the 2016 Lexus IS 200t Eminent White Pearl! I'm very happy Can't wait to put on the Suntek clear bra and the All Fit Lip. The brakes definitely feel much stronger than the 2015 IS 250.
Now my question. Coming from a 1997 Corolla without an alarm and all these fancy electronics.
1) Is there a way to set the navigation, audio, and other settings on the navigation screen without starting the engine?
2) Do I have to have the car engine "ON" in order to listen to usb music or radio?
3) I got the Dunlop tires... Does anyone know a better quality tire that is quiet and last longer? I think the Dunlop one last about 20k miles. My tire specs are 255/35R18 90Y (rear) and 225/40R18 88Y (front). I read on this forum, people like the Michelin Pilot. By the way, I don't drive crazy or making harsh turns, so I don't need speed track tires. I want comfort and quiet.

No you don't need to have the engine starting to set stuff. By any chance did you ask the dealer that sold you the car to give you brief run down on how the car works before you drove it off the lot?
1&2) Just press the Push To Start Button, "Once" and the screen should come right on.
The only time the engine will start is when you hold down brake pedal, while pushing the start button.
Hope that helped you.
Congrats on your new car buddy!
