Messed up my car stereo
Well I thought I'd take my car for a wash tonigh, purchased a special bucket with a gamma seal on it from CG (no water leakage supposedly) so I filled up the bucket with soap and water and headed to the coin op car wash. I open up my trunk and boom, bucket is tipped over and all the water leaked into my trunk but most importantly into this section:
I'm guessing this powers the stereo and other things because now my radio, bluethooth, satellite and nav doesen't have any sound. What I'm worried about is that the stealership won't cover it under warranty stating it's my fault(closed on sunday so not totally sure) and won't give me a loaner cause I'm only 20. Any thoughts on what I should tell them happend?

you will have to decide if you want to tell the truth or tell a fable to dealership.
If dealership cant warranty it.
Check fuses first. maybe you got lucky and it only blown a fuse.
Open it up and make sure there is no more water inside and dunk it in uncooked rice to dry it out before hooking it up again.

Damn sorry for the bad luck. Same thing happened to me in my bmw. i was transporting 5 gallon water dispensors and 1 of the spouts got stuck in the open position pouring 1 gallon in the trunk. Try to dry it as much as you can. I tried the rice thing but ended up having to replace the whole module.

Since you were the one that caused the problem, it wouldn't be covered by warranty. Unless there was a leak somewhere that caused a massive amount of water to accumulate in that area, then Lexus will not take responsibility. If you end up being truthful and have to replace it, might I suggest getting a used part from a wrecked Lexus or using your one "goodwill" discount.

I guess what happened to the OP is the bucket fall over and so even with sealed cover, it leaked a big time. The trunk was probably too empty to begin with. Need to have something to really hold the bucket inside the trunk to avoid the accident.
Feel sorry for the OP.

An unusual story indeed....
I would hope for a bit of luck if I were you...
Start by checking all the fuses, and if you find one blown, do not replace it yet..
Remove the amplifier and see if you can open it up. Your going to want to dry that thing out first and make sure it isn't a burnt mess inside..
If it is, I'd try and source one from a scrap yard. You can check www.car-part.com it will search every scrap yard all over North America and let you know who has what and how much, and yes there are some 3IS's listed...
If the unit isn't burnt to a crisp inside, then dry it out thoroughly.. Use a hair dryer to remove any last traces of moisture. Also check for fuses INSIDE the amp, there might be one or two depending on who engineered it. If all is good inside the amp then re-install it and replace any blown fuses and cross your fingers.

Lexus amps are sent to a repair facility to be refurbished. If there are any signs of water it wont be covered. If the tech doesn't see water damage and its sent off and the repair facility find water damage, they will deny the claim and you will probably be scrutinized for future warranty repairs. Honesty is the best policy.

That's the Amp. Hopefully it blew a fuse. Check the fuse box under the dash. I would unplug and unbolt the amp so you can remove it from the car and let it air out. point a fan at it. If the dealer won't cover it I would take the cover off and try to air dry it real good.
