Looking good there, Batmobile!

I plan to open mines up again and see if i can create a cut off line with some aluminum tape so it's not blinding people and light is only transferring to the ground
Is the Led bulb inter- changeable ?

Nope they are not interchangeable

the LED is glued onto a heatsink type of metal

I got mine installed about 6 weeks back, i find the fitment "so-so" as they do have some play after installation.

Brightness: 11 over 10. it is really bright
Beam pattern: 3 over 10. It should really go wide but instead it shines high and narrow (it will blind oncoming traffic)
Quality: 6 over 10. looks decent but not great.

Buy again: 6 over 10. If they can high the ugly yellow LED die and improve on the width. sure!

Probably a very dumb question, but since the beam is "high and narrow", any chance a 90 degree rotation of the LED or lens would help? That would turn the pattern to "low and wide". Maybe something was installed incorrectly at the factory?

from specONE's photo of it taken apart, the lens appears to be non-focusing (plano) and LED diodes cant be focused on their own. what the led is emitting is probably closer to a very tight cone-shaped beam. that's why it appears "high and narrow"

how to fix this? use metallic tape to cover the top half of the plano lens or measure the diameter of the lens and buy a new projector lens.

for example:

I dont recommend these foglights until the come out with a new version. As now there are too many issues with it.
Bought them months ago and just put them on. I got them in but not wired up becuz ppl said they were too bright. Only use them for appearance and even then they dont look that great.

My driver side fog light has fitment issues with one of the clips and keep popping out. And when you look straight on the car you can see two yellow circles.

I dont understand how a big company like ijdmtoy can make such a poor product.

I don't like these because they are so bright. and the yellow dots look like Fast and Furious 2001.

Lets just say these things are too bright regardless if what you try with a different lens or shield (metallic tape)

I sacrificed my eyes tonight for the greater good of the community to try what i've been meaning to try.
Right now I still see some circles

here's what I did

I initially taped only half of the hole, it proved to not do a think so then i decided to take up 80% of the hole

Here you can see the difference in light output,
Driver side is with the metallic tape. covering 80% of the LED
Passenger side was not touched yet in this photo.

Here is the tape I used,

Even though I was able to get the to be not as bright by literally cover 80% of its chance to shine, it is still DAMN bright! not as bright but still bright.

Another thing I think that can be tried is to throw a resistor inline to drop the voltage down for the LEDS, but then we'll have another heat source to deal with and I rather not.

I want to do this but installing them was just such a pain don't ant to go through that process again...

Spec, does it have less range since you covered ~80% of the opening? How's the beam pattern on the ground (or from a distance for that matter)?
