Default Stock PPF on Door and Wheel Well Area

How many of you with Ultra White have removed the stock Paint Protection Films on the rear doors and by the wheel well area? On mine they have turned yellow and always collect dirt on the edges. They just don't look good. If you've removed them, are you getting any rock chips on the area covered by the film prior? Or did you end up replacing them? I've asked the Dealership already if they can replace them under warranty but came back and said no. Is there a part number for these films from Lexus?

Iam in the same boat. They look like crap and collect dirt or wax.
Worse case could do similar piece wrapped to edge of Xpel clear bra but cleaner without any film.

Yeah my guy that did my clear bra said he can custom cut something for me with Suntek film but I'm trying to avoid them if possible. I'm trying to see how prone that area really is against rock chips. I don't see any rock chips around the areas close to the film.

I read some similar threads in the past and some members said that the ppf in those areas are not helpful in preventing rockchips so they took it off. I haven't taken mine off yet but I will soon. No yellowing, just dirt on the edges.

A lot probably depends on location, weather, and roads conditions. I have seen older Evo's and Subies in the NW area eally chipped in the rear arch/door area so assumed it was a problem area on the IS's.

Good to know. They are a PITA to keep the edges clean. It would have been better if Lexus at lease use better quality films.

I took it off 3 months ago. Drove to vegas and back (~10 hours of driving) plus my everyday commute. No chip.
But I decided to get XPEL clear bra afterwards just to be more safe.

Clear bra for the front? Yeah, I recommend that for sure.

I am ALWAYS on the verge of removing this from my car. It's not turning yellow on mine, but the dirt lines drive me crazy.

Let's just take them off! LOL. I'm still undecided but leaning towards removing them. I don't daily my car, no point in having them really.
