F-Sport 3IS Winter setup with 17in mags? Picture?
#16
I just ordered mine from oktire. Not sure if it strictly an Ontario company or if you have them in QC. Im sure any wheel dealer can pull them in from the following company. They ordered wheels from this Canadian company http://www.rssw.com/eng. 17x7 alloys. Will be putting on blizzak ws80 225/45R17. Ill get you some pics when i get them at the end of the week.
after some more digging Macpek or RSSW is a Quebec based company.

Hello all
I need help
I have a question to all
I want to get winter tires 225/45/17 and new rims
Im hesitant between these 2 rims, one has 7 inch wide rim the other 7.5 inch
Will the 225 fit on the 7 inch rim? will this cause an issue?

My setup :
Enkei M52 17" x 7.5"
Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80 225/45R17 91H
From 1010tires.com
(I hesitated A LOT between the WS-80 and LM-XX -the performance blizzak- but since i'm on RWD I picked the best snow/ice tires, and chose to sacrifice stiffness/handling performance...)
My car is RWD and it has never caused me a problem, even during snowstorms. Snow button and slip control (what's the official name again?) did wonders. I do have to deactivate traction control when in deep snow on a red light.
I like how (especially the front) brake discs show up through the wheels because of the contrast with the black color. I also like how meaty the tires look (the picture doesn't do justice).
One thing I don't like with my setup : my rear wheels are slightly tucked in (don't remember how many millimeters) but I only notice it because I'm aware of it... it annoys me but spacers would kill the square setup!
P.S.: I cross-shopped PMC and their prices were slightly higher. Only advantage for me was to be able to go there in person (2 hour drive from Montreal) so I went with 1010tires. I suggest you buy early if you're having anything shipped to your door... lots of back-ordered tires/wheels
.

OK from tirerack i got this info:
Blizzak WS80
225/45R17
91H SL
Rim Width Range : 7-8.5"
From KalTires:
Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta R2
225/45R17
Rim Width Range7-8.5
So i guess i should be OK with either tires with 7 inch rims
Thanks

Get proper fitting tires/rims (AVOID spacers)!
There is no steel wheel to fit my 2015 IS350 F Sport AWD. Owners are forced to go with alloy. Even with alloy, there are not many winter rim options due to the size of the front callipers.

I will not be using any spacers or center rings as these rims fit perfectly...I am very conservative
I have decided on the tires:
Nokian R2 winter tires 225/45/17
Im just not sure which RIM to go with

I'm still on the fence between Hakka 8's or the new Pirelli Ice Zero FR (both non-studded). Apparently, the Pirelli is on part or better than the Nokian's.
For the wheels, i'm leaning toward RTX Envy (http://www.rtxwheels.com/en/wheels/r...matte-gunmetal). At 135 a piece, fits the wallet!
Also going with EZsensor TPMS, so no more visits to the dealer for programming twice a year!

Hello
The only place i could find close to montreal for tpms clone (i am told that they clone the exact tpms so no need to reprogram avery time) was at clicktires.com
The only inconvenience is that i have to drive to boucherville where they are located
I guess i will get the nokian r2 and the rims and the tpms from there because of the cloning
Does anyone know of other places in montreal that clones tpms without the need to reprogram every tire change?
Much appreciated

Nothing is better, or as good IMO as the Nokians. Maybe the dealers profit margin is higher on the Pirelli's so they are trying to say they are just as good? And even IF the Pireli's were comparable in performance, I'd be willing to bet they won't stand-up over time like the Nokians do. I imagine the price difference per tire is not that great. Why not spend a little more and get the best?

I didn't install TPMS on my winter set and the light was off 80 to 90% of the time.
