Parking Sensors: Dealer Installation

Parking Sensors: Dealer Installation
I recently bought my 2015 IS350 Atomic Silver / Rioja Reg / F-Sport. However, they did not come with the option package that included parking sensors.
Given that
(a) I have a tight parking spot in my garage (a 2-car garage that this car shares with my wife's RX) and
(b) I've gotten used to parking the RX (which has park assist),
I asked the dealer about installing after market sensors.
They said that while they could have it installed, it would only provide an audible alert and not show the alert or distance indicator on the screen.
(i) They quoted me $975 for each bumper - front and rear
(ii) sensors (which come in black) will be painted to match my car's atomic silver.
(iii) I got to know that they do NOT do this in-house. They send the car out to an external installer.
Does this even sound reasonable? Does anyone have experience installing aftermarket sensors - if yes, are you happy with (a) quality and (b) price you paid.

I'm not sure if that pricing is standard.... but it sounds very expensive to me, especially when it doesn't come with the screen ability. I'm not sure if this would help, but this guy installed his own and it wasn't anywhere near that price. However he has previous experience doing these so I'm not sure if you would be able to do it yourself. But take a look anyways.
