Default Standard LED Interior on 2016 Model

Lexus finally get this right. A luxury car should have LED interior by default. I wonder if Lexus changed the lighting to the one that's similar to the RC or they just put in LED light bulb.

Congratulations, Lexus... About 4-5 years too late but it's something.

I just realized that even my refrigerator has LED interior lighting, and my 3IS does not.

yeah I was surprised the 3rd gen doesn't come with them. It's a pretty inexpensive and easy upgrade though. I think I paid $20 for the LEDs and spent a whole 6 minutes to replace them all.

Same here, I got some super nice bulbs from eBay (high quality ones, not being sarcastic) for less than $20 as well and replaced them all including the side mirrors. Easy, and looks great. I've done this with my last 3 vehicles.

I purchased 20 bulbs from amazon which costs around $30. I replaced everything including the reverse light. Looks great now. The only complaint is that the dome light will flicker slightly when it fade in and fade out.

The ones from iJDMtoy won't flicker. Some LED's will also stay dimly lit for a long time when they should be off. This is because of the small amount of residual electricity in the wiring is still powering them. The better LED bulbs will have resistors that burn off this electricity so they stay completely off when they should be.

Interesting that they show that. The owners manual, NCF book and repair manual show no changes and that they're all still non-LED bulbs.
