Disconnect & Reconnect Bluetooth While Driving?
Hey all. I tried searching, but didn't find what I was looking for. Just a quick question regarding connecting my phone's (Android) Bluetooth to my 2015 IS250 F-Sport Non-Nav. I haven't been able to find a way to disconnect and then re-connect my Bluetooth while driving without shutting off the car first. There have also been a couple times where my car hasn't picked up my BT when the car was started and I can't connect it unless I shut off my car and start it again.
Also, I have an issue when I'm using GPS directions on my phone (Google Maps) and I'm connected to my BT in the Lexus, that my phone doesn't speak the directions, obviously because it's connected via BT, but I won't hear the directions unless I change my head unit audio input to BT audio. The resolution I've found is to turn off my BT on my phone, then my phone speaks the directions again, but then I can't be connected to the Lexus BT for calls nor can I re-connect to it once I'm done with the directions unless I turn my car off and then on again. The other solution is to just listen to my BT audio, instead of the radio. When my phone is connected via BT, the phone still makes text and email notifications, along with the Lexus notifications.
My gf's 2015 base model Honda Civic can disconnect and re-connect on the fly. Am I missing how to do this or is this another Lexus goof, just like omitting Driver's Memory seating as a standard option, like my previous Acura TL had 9 years ago (2006).
Appreciate the help.

You can often clear some errors by a simple nav reboot. To do this without turning your car off then back on, just hold the radio power button down for about 5 seconds and it'll reboot.

You should be able to trigger a Bluetooth reconnect by turning off your Bluetooth on your phone.
I don't believe there is a fix to the GPS audio issue you have because you are crossing BT connection types. There are 2 type of BT connections, phone & audio.
On the phone type connection, only calls and notifications are transmitted through when receiving or making a call. The audio type connection is were it will transmit all phone audio activities to your car. Even then, you will have to be on BT audio on your car in order to hear it.

I've never used the Enform app for anything. I also don't have Nav in my car. I've tried turning off my BT on my phone and turning it back on, but the Lexus never re-connects to it. I just see a phone with a red line through it on my display.
Thanks for the suggestions.
