If you're getting bored of your GTI, you're going to be even more bored with the IS. And even more bored than that with the Maxima. Once the new car buzz wears off, these cars are nice but not particularly engaging to drive. I recently took my IS on a long road trip and it was the perfect ride. Smooth, quite, planted, solid, firm but never jarring. However, I don't find the car particularly engaging - it never encourages me to be a hooligan the way some of my previous cars have.
