Are we certain that the IS300 is a 2GR-FSE rather than a 2GR-FKS? Does the 300 require Premium fuel? If it only requires regular, that is effectively a 10% fuel economy bump from your wallet's perspective versus the IS350. Have the fuel economy ratings been released on the IS300?

Edit: the Lexus site shows 28mpg hwy for the 300 FS and 26mpg hwy for the 300. What the heck?

I m planning to get a is200t f sport. I just wanna know when will they give a discount for 200t. Is it gonna be a sales event in December ? I don't wanna pay MSRP for that. And I m not sure how long should I wait for that

Yes, per the Lexus Product Information spec, the IS300 gets the 2GR-FSE, not the FKS.

And yes, the 300 requires premium, according to that same spec.

Here's a link to the spec:

As for mileage, the IS300 AWD and IS350 AWD get the same fuel mileage (19/26/21).

LOL @ woowoo

Hey maybe to justify the price reduction, there will be less manufacturer's discounts now, so maybe not so cruel after all? At least you didn't pick up a fresh RC for it to now have 5K discount lol. Now THAT's cruel.

i'm in the same boat. i doubt they make you pay full msrp for IS200t even when it first comes out. it'll be their volume trim so discounts can definitely to be had even right after the launch.
