My 2014 IS250 (LDA audio with the latest software update) doesn't show covers when streaming audio via Bluetooth stored in iphone 5 (iOS 8.4) despite this option is ON in the car settings. When listening using standard cable the covers are on display. Still can't figure out how to make it show them when connecting both methods...
They don't display via Bluetooth period is my understanding. Perhaps Lexus will issue a software update. I'm sure they could make it work in light of the same system on Toyotas making it work. But for now plug your phone in and get a charge. The only thing we really can't fix is the damn cup holders in this car.

Problem is that two people that posted on here states they have BT audio album artwork working on their cars so what to believe (no photo proof though)
Judging by the layout of the BT audio source on the display in car there is already a square mark designated for the artwork so it looks like the intent is there
I have an Android phone, Motorola Droid Turbo, and a 2015 IS250 F-Sport with base audio system and have no issues with displaying album art when streaming music via bluetooth using PowerAmp app. Just fyi.
