Car Wipers are SLOW... VIDEO
Florida summer... AKA RAIN SEASON.
Got my IS 350 F Sport on 6/30 and I love it... but I found my first fault in the car... and I hope it can be fixed or I am wrong...
The wipers just aren't that fast.... and their are very few speeds...
The FAST wipers setting (all the way down, clicking twice) doesn't hold up well against heavy ran...this setting is like Medium-High on my old 2013 Infiniti... But the Infiniti almost had a "VERY HIGH" setting and it was great for down pours... this "high" on the lexus just isn't that good... and quiet frankly IS NOT SAFE.
Also, pushing it down once for the intermediate setting where you can twist for 3 different speeds just isn't enough as well...
anyone have problems with the 2015 wipers being slow and not really that fast?

No issue with the wipers on mine. They are pretty comparable with past cars and trucks I have owned.

From the video, it looks like they are not in the fastest speed.
If that's as fast as they go when you push the wiper stalk all the way down (until it doesn't go any further) then I would take it in. You can always have the dealer compare it to other cars on the lot to see if there's a difference.

We might be saying the same thing. To actuate "HI" on the wipers, you push the wiper stalk all the way down, and you should feel two clicks/detents as you go, before hitting the hard stop. Then let go and the stalk returns to the nominal position.

I mean... I don't think I'm doing anything wrong... I'll go try that again in a few minutes... I'll take another video.... It's gotta be a defect. OR... I'm really dumb.

Meanwhile, probably adding a rain repellant to the front windshield should alleviate your issue. In fact, you won't need to turn the wiper that high in heavy rain. A lot of DIY rain repellants are in the market. As some of the products are silica based, they are quite durable.

I have 2014 IS and I don't have the problem with the wipers that you experience. There isn't a lot of heavy rain in our areas and so setting the wiper to high is rare to me.

You are correct, that is the fastest the wipers will go... when in park. When you are driving on the road, depending on how fast you are going, the windshield wipers will go faster. At least, that's how it works for me. When I'm on the highway in heavy rain at 40 mph, the rain hits my windshield faster so the wipers automatically swings faster.
