2016 Lexus IS
IS 200t - Joins the updated 2016MY Lexus IS sedan's range replacing the IS 250 models offering 241hp and 258lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque between 1,650-4,400 rpm, a slight increase over the North American NX's 235hp. For now, at least, it's available on the IS exclusively with rear-wheel drive paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Other performance figures and fuel economy estimates for the new IS 200t have not yet been released. The 2.0-liter turbo that replaces the outgoing IS 250 with its 204hp 2.5L V6 isn't the only new engine for the US-market IS, as Lexus is also expanding the range with the new IS 300.
IS300 - Featuring standard all-wheel drive and a modified (de-tuned) 3.5-liter V6 rated for 255hp and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) torque at 2,000-4,800 rpm.
IS 350 - Lexus will continue to offer it with a 306hp and 277 lb-ft (375 Nm) of peak torque 3.5-liter V6 that remains unchanged in both RWD and AWD setups for the 2016MY.
Other changes introduced for the new model year include the optional Premium Plus Package with a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, and rain-sensing wiper, the heated steering wheel that is now available as a standalone option, and standard 18-inch wheels with all-season tires for the IS 350.
The 2016MY IS is also compatible with Lexus Enform Service Connect with a one-year complimentary subscription that allows drivers to remotely view information about their car

I'm curious how to undo the detuned 3.5L V6 to it's full 306, but agree the IS200T should be 255hp and the IS350 should be upgraded to 325-333hp. The dream is for Lexus TRD to go mad scientist and put the RC-F V-8 into an IS350 AWD F-sport's body. The latter would never happen though.

You can do a whole bunch of things to change up the power numbers. Using regular fuel, more restrictive exhaust, modifications to the materials of the engine internals such as different cams, cylinders, and changes to the air intake
My opinion is that Lexus removed DI on the engine and lowered the required for regular fuel which is what is making the difference. As to why, I am not exaclty sure as the 2.0t does AWD duty in the NX.
The AWD feature is now electronic wheras the past AWS IS were mechanical. Not sure of facts?
I have never seen Toyota ever detune an engine, and this detune is an engine that is 11 MY years old. It really makes no sense for Lexus not to offer the 2.0t in AWD.
