Default Back Up Camera Issues

Not functioning at all – when I shift to R display just goes black. Anyone had this issue?

Taking it to the Dealer on Monday. Ironically, this is my first Lexus after driving Ford and Dodge SUVs for 12 years. I had exactly zero service issues with those vehicles beyond routine maintenance and now have to take the Lexus in after two damn days

did you hit something? My guess is a connection is askew and I am sure that Lexus will take care of you and give you a car while they fix it. That of which most Dodge and Ford dealers do not do... I know you just got it, but it is a great car you will love it.

I didn't hit anything. Whatever happened occured while parked in my garage.

They have reserved a loaner for me on Monday, although I literally could walk to my office from the dealership.

I love the vehicle so far - just a bit frustrating. And as I said, the irony.

Initial diagnosis is faulty camera. Replacement will get in tomorrow morning so hopefully they’re correct
Meanwhile I’m stuck with an RX300 for the night. Hopefully my testosterone levels don’t drop too much

Is the camera blocked by mud or anything else?

pretty sure he and/or the dealer would have caught that.

Wow, seems like Lexus has great service for the U.S. Market. They gave me a very hard time over a problem with wiper blade! Not to mention the bad service I received on top of that. Maybe I should make a change to Dodge or Ford?!

could be serious. my dad has an f-150 with over 300k miles on the original drivetrain. minor things here and there, but otherwise the truck still runs well.

I just got my car back, finally, after two days. The camera arrived yesterday but when it was installed they didn’t understand that the parking assist lines are optional and need to be adjusted in the system settings. Whoever finally spoke with one of the technology specialists who got it set up properly today.

I’m glad to have my IS back but it was not a great experience. People rave about the service at the dealership (Park Place in Plano TX) so I’m thinking that I got a bad draw on the service rep.

I think I’ll blow off some steam by getting on the expressway and driving really fast
