Default How many tires/wheel was you needed repaired?

So this might be an odd question but I was wondering how many wheels and/tires have you replaced since you owned your IS? I've had mine for almost 2 years and I've replaced 2 wheels and 3 tires (soon to be 4) so far between the winter potholes and the construction in my area. Luckily, I have the wheel and tire warranty from my dealership. Additionally, I'm curious if anyone knows if there's a limit on how many tires or wheel can be replaced in a given year?

got the car at 12.5K miles. at that time OEM tires had more than 60% of life left. within the first week my rear right developed a slow leak, must have hit something and it was unrepairable. just said screw it and got 4 new continental DW's. pretty pissed off about it but what can ya do?

I had one tire damaged at 50k, so I replaced all 4 with a new set. Additionally I have an extra set of rims/tires.

I dinged 2 wheels, but it was on the inside of the lip. They balance OK and hold air fine so I didn't replace them.

I replaced my factory treads at 30k miles due to a bad alignment wearing out the inside edge.

On the replacement tires (Michelin Pilot Sport AS3s) I had one blowout and 2 sidewall bubbles. The fourth tire was leaking around 4 psi each day.

The tire store swapped out all four Michelins for Conti Extreme DWS for $180 with road hazard warranties aftee 6k miles.

It was a tough winter in Boston.

Boston is brutal, I went through 3 Conti DWS last winter. Consider downsizing to smaller wheels.

got the rim/tire insurance also but luckily i only scratched front rims twice which were fixed under the insurance.. i don't think there's a limit to how many times.. don't recall reading anything like that on the rim/tire insurance.

I have 23k miles and I'm on my 3rd set of tires (Hankook evo2's) due to the canyons. 3 of my 4 wheels need curb rash repair. None need to be replaced

Well, I bought my '14 IS350 this year new and replaced my tires at 4,100 miles. I ended up getting a screw in the sidewall on the driver's side rear and had to replace it. Discount Tires didn't have any in-stock and I wasn't impressed with the Bridgestone Turanza tires that were installed. I replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (All-Season) 3 with a tire replacement cert for each tire and haven't been disappointed. Love the performance, grip, wet traction, road noise, and comfort. Of course, wasn't happy dropping $1k total but I wasn't going to drop $200+ on an OEM tire that wasn't performing well for spirited driving and has no free replacement if something happens again. These tires (Michelin PS A/S 3) should have been OEM from the beginning, IMO. =)

My wife's IS has 17k, original Turanza's are about 7/32, so I think they will easily make 25k with a couple 32nds left. Original 18" wheels were undamaged but are out getting powdercoated dark grey. When the tires are done I will be replacing with Continental DWS-06, up sized one size to 235/40/18 and 265/35/18. (235's are currently available, 265's will be in August).

I have installed DWS's or DWS-06's on an Audi A7 and an S4, a Subaru Impreza, and an Acura TL, all within the last year, they work awesome and have 500-560 tread wear.

Sorry for the hijack!
