$3900 discount off msrp in CA is not a very good deal. I recommend you read the price/deal related threads here and in other forums - you should see discounts ranging from 10-15% - average is around 12%. From now to the end of the year, you should see some great deals on the 2015s - but you'll need to get as many dealers as you can competing for your business. The discount we got on our 2014 at the beginning of last Oct was almost twice what you say you've been offered. Be patient and work at it - the offers will come.

here's one other tip, when you go to the dealer, ask for the lot manager. I learned that from dealing w/ a lot manager...haha. he was straight up w/ me and didn't sugar coat anything. not to say that a regular car salesman won't do the same, but they're trying to make a bigger commission through their sales.
but if you can, wait til MY16's start rolling in. you should be able to get a 2015 at a better deal. rumor has it that, they're not making (or producing very little) is350 NON f sport. so if you have your heart set on an affordable 350, 2015 would be your best bet. good luck
