30,000 out the door. Maybe 29,500.

33K is high for an almost 2-year old IS 250 with 27k miles. Based on the description, looks to be a base model with Preferred Package (twin LED lights, heated/ventilated seats) + Backup Camera + 18" wheels. No Nav/Enform, BSM, pre-collision, ML, radar cruise, memory seats, leather, wood trim, etc.

For perspective, a similarly equipped new 2015 is 40K.

If you decide to go with the 2014, I agree with ddvette9, 30K is fair. Before signing, note that some of us have had the battery drain issue and/or Infotainment lockup/reboot (but isolated to the Nav/Enform units) so good to show the dealer you're aware of this issue and see if there are any maintenance records on this or see how they respond to this.

Good luck!

I agree with the previous responses. Dealers routinely mark used vehicles up by anywhere from $3k to $6k. Keep that in mind as you negotiate. You might need to make a lowball offer that is rejected. Then just sit on it a few days to see if they follow up. Also, price it out on sites like edmunds, kbb, and NADA to get a good idea of what it's actually worth. Above all, don't let your emotions buy it for you - be like a robot.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm scared of this purchase right now lol. Thinking I might get ripped off. And holy crap I didn't know the dealership jacks up the price that high.

Once again thanks

Default Residual prices

Search this forum for people who are leasing brand new IS 250s for 24/27 month with approximately 24000-27000 mile. This way you have an idea of what the residual value of the IS250 after 2 years. You can start negotiating down or lower price from there. If Lexus say the car is worth $X after 2 years don't pay more than that. Agreed with previous post dealers do mark up several grand in used cars. I know the residual of an 2014 IS350 27month/27k miles to be $34,xxx. So since its a IS 250 it's should be lower. Hope this helps. You can also call the dealership and ask what the residual value is of a new 2015 is 250.

For comparison, I just bought a new 2015 IS250 with backup camera and preferred package for $37000 + TTL in Seattle and I'm not sure I got a good deal.

For me, that used IS250 would have to be in the $28K range to be considered. Can't hurt to make an offer at a price your comfortable with. Worse that can happen is they say no.

I agree with JKE! Make a deal you can live with. Keep in mind the seller has to make a fair profit, but remember you've got to be happy with the deal. Good luck!

That car listed for $39k brand new.. residual would be about 65% of that.. .especially with 2016s coming out.
