In my 350rwd, I pump once every other week. I get roughly 18mpg. I would assume the 250 model gets about 50 more miles on a full tank versus the 350 model.
To be honest, if you are worried about gas, I say you should wait until the MY16 comes out with the 200t version.

awd 350 fsport here. paying about 3.15-3.30 for shell premium depending on where i go. I usually fill up once a week which for me is about half a tank approx. 150 miles. so on a full i can probably get 300 but i think more towards the 280 range. I pay like $30 depending on how low it gets...using A/C more now so that lowers it. but yeah i had a 2011 corolla prior to my 350 and i thought i was going to get killed on gas...but surprisingly it hasn't been that bad at all especially for premium and a 3.5 liter car.

I only fill up the tank when I can run for about 20-30 miles more. Usually I get 230-270 miles (which means I have 250-300 miles per full tank of gas). Sport mode indeed use more gas than normal and eco mode. Mine is 350 model.

Premium Fuel Mandatory?
Hello Folks,
When it comes to filing the Gas tank, for IS350, the manufacturer recommended is Premium (92 Oct). But, is it Mandatory? What happens if I fill up just the Regular (85 Oct)?
Appreciate your responses. THanks.

My dealer fills their cars with regular. Rule of thumb if you own it Premium, if you lease it use Regular

Premium around me is running just over $3 a gallon. I usually fill up my 350 AWD every 1.5 to 2 weeks, at about $40 each time.

+1. I get about 1 tank every 1.5-2 weeks ($40-$60 depending on the gas station). I work in town so my commute is 6 miles round trip 4 days a week. That and I go to drill every month and drive back home (about 100 mile round trip, twice a month)

I'm a young adult in the mid 20s. I can't afford the IS 350, so I'm now breaking it down to the IS 250. I'm also comparing this with the ES 350 in another thread. It sounds like IS 250 cost more to own than an ES 350? ES 350 sounds like a better value, but the IS 250 is more fun to drive. I don't get why IS 250 cost about the same as the ES 350 though. It's smaller car. IS 250 used to be like $3000 cheaper than the ES 350. I really really like the IS 250 though. It's very sporty and most teens would want that type of car. ES 350 is aimed for older people. Currently, I drive a Toyota corolla 1997 and fill up every week (~$32 with regular 87 gas). My daily commute is about 50 miles round trip. How often is the maintenance on the IS 250?

Have you considered CPO? You seem to want a sporty driving experience on your daily commute. A low miles CPO IS350, even GS350, can be had around the price of a well-equipped new IS250 and ES350. You also get the additional warranty (3yrs, 100K miles) for added peace of mind. But I'd understand if you want the new car smell and knowing the exact record of your car.
Premium here in SOCAL is around $4. So 15 gal (just about where light comes on) would get you a bill of $60.
