Pay Toyota dealer $49.95 for oil change?

Is it true we need a special Toyota oil filter wrench? I have a non-toyota oil filter wrench and always did oil changes myself on my other cars.

You could buy the wrench directly from Toyota/Lexus for $50-$75 bucks. I picked one up at Auto Zone for $9.99.
