Update: Checked out the car and first thing I noticed was that the spoiler was perfectly mounted. I used a flashlight to check the paint and I noticed immediately that the amount of metallic flake was exactly as the rest of the car now. Just as I was inspecting the rest of the car, the body shop manager came out. He said they went ahead and replaced the trunk with a brand new one. Interestingly enough, the rear light clusters are from my old trunk since the LED reverse bulbs I put in are still there. The rear badges are all brand new and since the car was only worked on for an hour or two today, (never left the dealership) it's a given that they actually did replace it.

I'm pretty happy with the way they handled it. Will do a final look over tomorrow after I get back from work but so relieved that I'm not driving around with a butchered trunk lid and crooked spoiler. Thanks for everyone's input and thoughts!
