Use Hazard Lights as City Lights
Hello CL,
I believe that I am one of the few that loved the look of headlights that had amber city lights in them.
I was hoping to do the same on my 3IS. I would try and accomplish this by somehow wiring the hazard lights to stay on, but of course, when I hit the hazard button, it would blink on and off.
Is there someway we can hard wire the the hazard lights to turn on and stay on when we turn our headlights or DRLs on? (Any professional wiring CL members would like to chime in?)
I took a pic of how it would look like on and I feel that it completes the headlight with it on.
Let me know what you guys think.

Vehicle Code Section 25109: Running Lamps
Any motor vehicle may be equipped with two white or amber running lamps mounted on the front, one at each side, which shall not be lighted during darkness except while the motor vehicle is parked.
Which is funny because our LED DRLs are on all the time
So I'm going to venture out and say it's probably ok, but you can be stopped

Realistically, they won't pull you over just for that.
As for trying to make it work, an inverter or some type of conversion kit can be bought. I know with the new WRX+ they already have some kits for their brake lights to act as signal turns also. This kit would act similar to what you're trying to do.

I don't know if it would be illegal or not, but I highly doubt you would get pulled over from doing this mod. They would just look like standard city lights and cops wouldn't bother or care for it because it is not overly bright or distracting.
