If you still hear it, it is because they still install them. You might just be out of that community. I don't think you should make fun of people because of different likes. It would be just as easy for them to make fun of you for being 'content' with the stock audio system.

I think the general consensus around this forum is that while both stock and ML systems sound decent, they both could use more bass. I, for one, do not feel brutalized when I hear someone with an upgraded system. I give them props for dabbling in a little audio upgrade project. I also live in Miami and I hear a noisy system on the streets once a week maybe. I agree with usuariof, you shouldn't make fun of people that don't think the way you do.

I guess I should of been more clear , didn't mean to offend anyone im talking about those very noisy rattling type of systems, personally I agree with machine mines could use more bass, but definitely should of been more clear no harm done.

Not so much anymore, was pretty common back in the 90s. Lots of people in high school had those "systems" installed in their cars, I did too. The type where the bass is so intense people would know when you pull up to their house, feeling the vibrations inside, pictures falling off the walls

It is a little funny to think about nowadays, back then it was like a contest on whose car stereo would hit the hardest. Lots of ricers in those days, and lots of ricers with bumping systems

Some junk in your trunk. I wouldnt mind if it made my music sound better but not the ones that hit like vibrators for girls to pleasure themselves.

then i wouldnt be able to use my fold down seats either. So stock bass is plenty for me.

I installed a 12" Alpine SWS with an Alpine MRV-M500 amp. Sounds perfect for my needs.

I was thinking of getting the Type R. Where did you get your install done?
