Nah. Prone to rock chips my ****. It's more likely a rock will hit the front bumper. Besides, the car is 2 years old and there ain't no rock chips anywhere near this pathetic piece of ppf

These are not the Lexus original hinge covers.

In older Lexus vehicles, hinge covers were always included. However, if you try the Lexus original hinge covers to newer Lexus vehicles such as the current CT, IS, ES, GS, NX, the plastic cover won't stay in place (contrary to what is reported in MinKara) because Lexus also has changed the details of the hinge bolt so that the older hinge covers won't work.

These aftermarket hinge covers are available on eBay. (Discovered afterwards. Originally I found them on Amazon Japan)

They are perfect fit. Just snap on and it won't move. But they are easily removable. In fact, there is a patent to the design. The only "downside" is there is a logo mark on it.

I find these hinge covers useful for people who care about cleaning/washing/detailing the areas around the door jams. It makes the task easier.

Completely agree. Took mine off and couldn't be happier, besides on UW it looks like crap when only a little dirty and never seems to come clean

Yep, it's the wife car which we bought pre-owned. It's 2 years old and has only 10k on the clock but this ppf was somewhat yellow and had dirt ingrained on the edges. It had to go as it was driving my OCD crazy. Looks so much cleaner!

Are yours pretty sturdy? Does it wiggle/jiggle?

Yes, they are sturdy as if they were OEM parts. There is no compromise in terms of fit and finish. They won't wiggle as they snap on the hinge bolt perfectly. I have had them for months already.

Basically, if you look at the construction inside (as illustrated by those eBay listing), there are some plastic parts that hug the hinge bolt.
