I asked the adviser today and he said won't make a difference. Probably not.

In general, we do still recommend rotating tires on a staggered setup. Rotating from one side to the other on the same axle on a RWD vehicle is not going to have as great an effect as a forward cross or x-pattern rotation on a FWD vehicle, but it will help some to keep the wear as even as possible. Many performance vehicles with staggered setups specify in their owner's manual to not rotate the tires at all, and in that instance, we defer to the vehicle manufacturer.

To the OP- I don't agree with your mechanic that you will likely have a pull if you rotate the tires, but I do anticipate a noticeable increase in noise.

My tires lasted 52,000 km (around 31k miles) and I rotated them @40k.
Your tires could last longer depending on tires type , driving style , highway or city driving and hitting curbs or not .
For me I had to change my tires because it swallowed a long nail and the Dunlop's are terrible & expensive!

The car comes with a toe angle from the manufacturer, so I assume it is normal to wear an evenly.
