I purchased Beat-Sonic Navigation and DVD Control Bypass Module for my 3IS which I have yet to install.

I was very impressed with Beat-Sonic's service. Very quick replies regarding queries and shipping was super fast (took 2.5 days from Japan to Australia).

They also provide very detailed step by step installation instruction.

BUMP for insight. Group buy for Beatsonic is no longer available... price is now roughly the same as Vais, and while it seems like more people have beat sonic (likely due to price) it looks like for the same money, vais may have better usability?

They both do the same thing. Beatsonic has an extra remote that you'll need to find a spot for. The Vais integrate the control seamlessly into the "end call" button on the steering wheel. Here's a recent sale for Vais, it's over now but maybe you can get in contact with them for a CL price.

I was lucky enough to pick up the Beat-Sonic BB6223 for $99 about a year ago when they released. It does require removal of dvd unit and some splicing of the factory wiring harness. But, its been the best upgrade for me so far.

there was no splicing of wires.
I do not consider sliding a harness connector off another for install as splicing.
Here is GS install, wiring connection is exactly the same as our car.

Im interested in the Vais because of the SW controls. How does it work with the NX? If i do a perm bypass, what are the downfalls?

Just to clarify, the beat sonics cannot integrate steering wheel controls?

My car displays text messages when stopped otherwise it only reads it out..I presume this would be an overridden feature as well?
The newest version of this BeatSonic integrates fully into the car including the steering wheel buttons. This sequence activities it vol + vol - twice.

The latest BeatSonic no longer needs the remote. It doesn't even ship with it. It integrates into the steering wheel buttons.

We have undergone 2 revisions on the NAV/DVD bypass to ensure that the best product is offered in the marketplace. Our most current part is the NDS6223EP(link: http://www.beatsonicusa.com/nsd6223ep.html).

It offers a programmable module which allows you to be in full control of how much (if any), timer you would like to place on the NAV bypass time while the DVD bypass always being active. Our module also utilizes the chime coming from the OEM nav system to confirm bypass activation and deactivation.

All this is integrated to the OEM volume steering wheel controls.

For all CL special pricing, make sure to PM us

Is there any kit for IS 2016 without Factory Navigation to bypass DVD motion block?
I've tried UML-081 but it is not suitable.
