Default Tai3IS IS250 F Sport Build - Here we go

Well, here we go. Decided to start my own thread to document this new project. Recently traded in my 2012 Hyundai Azera for a Lexus, a 2014 IS250 F Sport / Nebula Grey with Rioja interior. I've always been known for never leaving anything in stock form and i already can't wait to get started.

Most recent pics:

Current Mods:

Exterior:
- SunTek Carbon 30% Window Tint
- 3M Gloss Black Vinyl Wrap on Front Grill Trim
- 3M Gloss Black Vinyl Wrap on Side Window Trim
- 3M Gloss Black Vinyl Wrap on Roof
- Custom Tinted Front and Rear Lexus Emblems

Interior:
- WeatherTech Digital Fit Floor Liners

Lighting:
- iJDMToy LED Exact Fit 140-SMD Complete Interior Package
- iJDMToy High Power 18-SMD LED Step Courtesy Lights
- Vleds Exterior LED Puddle Lights
- Vleds Interior LED Vanity Mirror Lights
- Vleds Foot Well LED Lights
- Custom White 12" Cold Cathode tube Trunk compartment lights

Performance:

Suspension / Wheels / Brakes:
- BC Racing Coilovers w/ upgraded 12/10 Swift Springs
- Varrstoen ES2H Wheels 19" Machined Finish (19x8.5 F, 19x9.5 R)
- Custom Machined 8mm billet aluminum hubcentric wheel spacers (front)
- ARP extended wheel studs
- Project MU Type NS brake pads

Here's some pics of what i traded in:

Got the new car at JM Lexus, and I just have to mention that my sales guy Chad Scharmann was amazing. I didn't even plan on getting into a new car, but with the deal that he and the team at JM Lexus put together for me.....I just couldn't pass it up.

Here's when i first laid eyes on the new beauty:

First mod had to be some tint. 30% all the way around. Thanks to the guys at Wilson Window Tinting in Margate, FL.
As much as i have tried going fish bowl here in South Florida, I just can't do it.

And even though our weather isn't the greatest this weekend, i still had to give the car her first initial wax, polish, and sealant treatment. I do this to every new car i get. It just helps maintaining clean status so much easier.

Pics from after the detailing (sorry for the crappy cell phone pics):

To be honest, the Hyundai was a great car for the money. It's definitely an adjustment because the IS is definitely a smaller vehicle. But I don't regret the change at all. Even though the Hyundai was 295hp vs the IS250's 204, the lexus feels so much better. So much sportier and the rear wheel drive is a huge improvement as well. I'll really miss the ventilated seats and panoramic glass roof in the Hyundai, but like I said before....I don't regret the change at all.

I bought the same dome lights. They are really nice. I put tinted tape stickers on each led bulb on the sides so that the map lights are dimmed while the center portion still remains bright. It worked out great and I can use them while driving at night if I need some light. Otherwise it's just blinding bright by default.

Never been a fan of red reflectors on rear bumpers. They always just look out of place to me. Although I will have to admit that on the 3IS Lexus did a decent job of trying to blend it in.

But I just had to dust off the old wrapping skills and see what I could do about the reflectors.
Had some satin black 3M 1080 material laying around so I gave it a shot.

Results aren't too bad. Good thing is I can peel it off if I change my mind. Gotta love all the advancements in vinyl wrap materials and colors these days.

Thanks man. You know how i am with cars.....always trying to be different yet clean at the same time. I think it's gonna be a hard task this time because there's already so many clean looking 3IS's out there. Like yours for example. But i'm gonna do my best. I already have ideas poppin into my head. Just need the money now. LOL.

Here are some farther away shots of the reflectors that i wrapped in satin black. Just something different for now. I might change my mind about them later and just peel them off. Gotta love the vinyl. LOL.

Also finally got in my MirrorTap wire so that the Valentine 1 could work again. Great product. No need to run a wire all the down to the fuse box. Just taps right off the factory connector for the rear view mirror.
